On Wednesday night, we attended our first concert of 2019 and we could not have asked for a better show and crowd!
American Authors kicked off night 1 of 2 sold out shows at the beautiful Beacon Theatre. The Brooklyn based band was very happy to be back home performing in the city.
They stepped on stage getting the crowd ready for an amazing night of music performing “Say Amen” followed by “Luck” and “Believer”.
Fans got the opportunity to get up close and personal with lead singer Zac Barnett when he jumped into the crowd and made his way throughout the orchestra section in and out of aisles interacting with the audience. This was one of many favorite moments of the evening.
American Authors have their third studio album Seasons coming out February 1st via Island Records! Several songs from the new album were performed getting fans eager for the album’s release. Songs performed from the new album included including their new single “Stay Around”, “Deep Water”, and “Neighborhood”.
Some of the best days of our life have included concerts and we along with the audience could have not been more excited than to hear “Best Day of My Life”.
The sold out crowd anxiously awaited for The Revivalists to take the stage. The Beacon Theatre filled with some of the best energy we have ever experienced. From the music, to the lights, to the dancing, the whole venue was on their feet mesmerized by the talent on stage. Their strong presence on stage held from the first song to the last.
The set started with “It Was A Sin”, “ Oh No”, and “Change”. Lead singer, David Shaw took a break to thank New York City for always being so good to the band.
The band released Take Good Care in November and the night was filled with songs from the recent album including “You and I” , “Celebration”, and “Got Love” which had the crowd singing at the top of their lungs I got love love love love. Each new song that was performed came with a venue full of energetic dancing and singing everywhere we looked.
The Revivalists came out not for one but two encores . The first one including “Otherside of Paradise”, “You Said It All”, and the favorite “Wish I Knew You”. The second encore was a cover of The Allman Brothers Band “Whipping Post”.
The American Authors and The Revivalists made our Wednesday – a night we wished wouldn’t end!
