At the age of 13, Noah Lomax has already had success as an actor, filming several T.V. shows and has had lead roles in 3 major feature films. This fall, Noah can be seen in 99 Homes. Noah also recently wrapped production for the independent feature Brave New Jersey.
When not acting, Noah likes playing football, studying science, and spending time with his friends.
We recently got to speak to Noah about his upcoming films.
upfrontNY: What do you love most about acting?
Noah: What I love most about acting is even in auditions I get to act as a different person and it is something that I love to do. When I am on set I like to see how they film different scenes. It is something that intrigues me. I love to hang out with the Director of Photography and see all the camera stuff that they do. When I grow up, I think I might want to be a Director of Photography.
upfrontNY: This fall, the movie 99 Homes will be released. Can you tell us about the movie and your role as Connor?
Noah: The movie is about a family that gets evicted from their home. There is a Dad and Grandma and the mother is not in the picture, and me, the son trying to survive in these bad places. It is also about not having Connor get influenced by the things happening in these bad areas.
upfrontNY: What was it like having Andrew Garfield play your father in this movie?
If you ask any kid, what was it like to have Spiderman play your father, it was awesome! When I first met him I thought about him being Spiderman, but I got to know him. He was a great guy and put a lot of time and effort to get that chemistry and to hang out with me off camera. We went to bowling, to the zoo, and out to dinner. I learned a lot from him and look up to him. He is a great actor.
upfrontNY: You recently wrapped production for the movie, Brave New Jersey. What was the experience like for that movie?
Noah: It was set in the 1930s. It was something I’ve never done before and it was cool. It was really fun.
upfrontNY: Now in this movie, it talks about the War of the Worlds radio broadcast which led to millions of listeners believing that Martians were invading the US. What would you do if this really happened?
Noah: I might be excited, but I guess more scared because we don’t know what they are or what they can do. They are a new species. I don’t know how I would act, it would be in the moment.
upfrontNY: You filmed this movie based on the 1930s, is there another time that you would like to film a movie based off of?
Noah: Probably in the future.
upfrontNY: Is there one show or specific type of movie that you really hope to film one day?
Action, maybe being a spy like a James Bond type of movie. Learning to fight and do all those fighting sequences would be really cool.
Check out Noah this fall in the upcoming movie, 99 Homes!
