With two suitcases and a dream, Arzo Anwar left her home in California and moved to New York City. She had a clear vision of a life she wanted and has worked hard to make those dreams come true. After being featured on several reality shows filming in her showroom, Blend, she joined the Bravo reality TV show, “Blood, Sweat, and Heels.”
With a love of fashion, accessories, and her drive, Arzo is a great addition to season 2 of this show.
We recently got the chance to interview Arzo. It was great chatting with her and learning more about her story! We can’t wait to hear and see more!
upfrontNY: What was it like to join this season as a new cast member?
Arzo: My journey has been really cool. It has been a great experience. There have been moments that make you cringe, dramatic moments, or times you disagree with the other girls. Overall, it was a platform for me to grow my brands and grow my business. I have been in NYC for 15 years and I have a story to tell.
I match the description of the show, “Blood, Sweat, and Heels”. I landed in New York City with 2 suitcases 15 years ago. I have built my life up since then.
upfrontNY: You came here by yourself with 2 suitcases. How did that happen?
Arzo: I was 9 and I wanted to move to New York. I am first generation here and it was my little escape. I was born with fashion in my blood. My mom is a big fashionista. My family lives and bleeds fashion. I had a great eye and was my mom’s stylist when I was younger. It was just like a little kid who dreamed of what they wanted to do and I did it.
upfrontNY: What’s the best part about living and working in New York?
Arzo: Everything is at your fingertips. Everything is in front of you. For me, it’s the pace and I love the pace. You’re always exploring. I have been here for 15 years and there are still things I haven’t seen.
upfrontNY: Did you ever imagine yourself to be here with your own showroom and being on a reality show?
Arzo: Yeah, I did. You have to have those expectations in your head in order for them to happen. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I envisioned it. Even if I don’t know my way, I know it will work out.
upfrontNY: How has your life changed since being on the show?
Arzo: It puts you on a microscope of yourself. It hasn’t changed it, but it has added value to it in different ways. To have A Muslim woman living her own life and still being respectful. Business has been great and people notice me on the streets.
upfrontNY: What’s the biggest thing you want people to know about you?
Arzo: I want them to see more of my business. I want them to see how I take care of my friends and the mentorship I give to the people around me. I also want people to see my hustle, my sense of style, and to get to know me.
upfrontNY: Is there one dream you have or goal you want to accomplish?
Arzo: I would like to start my own brand again and work for a huge company being a creative director. I would like to be able to be the face of different things and work as a spokesperson. I am a foodie and a travel junkie. I would love to be a travel correspondent that goes all around the world and eats, travels, and tells you about the coolest things.
