Lauren is very talented with a drive, passion, and big future ahead of her.
We recently got a chance to sit and chat with Lauren about music, performing, and high school. She also shared some pictures and music with us!
upfrontNY: How did you get into song writing? I saw you wrote, “I see fire”?
Lauren Frawley: I have always been writing. I won a poetry contest at 6 or 7 years old. I love writing and I remember getting in trouble in second grade for writing songs in Spanish class. I would always carry a journal with me. I would jot down everything. I learned piano and how to play chords and put it all together.
upfrontNY: You recently played a show in NYC. What is it like performing in the city?
Lauren Frawley: I love it. There are so many different people. I feel like in the city so many people are energetic and fun. I had a good time performing.
upfrontNY: Did you play your song you had written?
Lauren Frawley: Yes. I played “I see Fire”.
upfrontNY: What’s it like performing a song you had written?
Lauren Frawley: I was nervous at first. A lot of people came up to me and said that my song was their favorite. I was very happy about that.
upfrontNY: You have some great covers. Is there one artist or genre that you like covering?
Lauren Frawley: I don’t have a particular artist. Pop. I love pop so much, but I am trying to go into other genres as well.
upfrontNY: Who would be your number one to open for or do a duet with?
Lauren Frawley: Alicia Keys. I am a huge fan of her and her music, but also Rihanna too she is awesome.
upfrontNY: Have there been any concerts you have gone to that you felt like ok… I need to be up there?
Lauren Frawley: I recently went to a George Ezra, Hozier concert. It was small and intimate. It was amazing. I was 5 feet away from the stage. That, and I went to a Demi Lovato concert where the energy was so great.
upfrontNY: If you could play anywhere, any state, country, or venue where would it be?
Lauren Frawley: Madison Square Garden.
upfrontNY: What would you love to see happen in the next couple years of high school or after high school?
Lauren Frawley: My ultimate goal is to get signed to a label and be able to have concerts and me headlining, and selling out shows. Also inspiring people through my music.
upfrontNY:What have you been up to this summer and what are your plans for the rest of the summer?
Lauren Frawley: I have been writing and recording my first song for my EP. The rest of the summer is writing for the EP.
upfrontNY: What do you want people to know about your music and why should they follow and listen?
Lauren Frawley: Everything that will ever come out of my mouth will come from me and, everything I write and sing about is genuinely how I feel. If I sing about something I am going through, I want other people to know they are not alone. I want to inspire people.
upfrontNY: Is there anything you want to share with others about yourself?
Lauren Frawley: Keep an eye out for my EP. Follow me on my accounts. If you love something and you really want to pursue it you should no matter what anyone else says.
