*AUDRA* is the vocalist/songwriter of the North Haven, Connecticut rock band Chaser Eight. We recently got a chance to talk to *AUDRA* about the band, the band’s first studio LP, Chaser Eight, and what is next.
At the age of 13, *AUDRA* wrote her first song and this was just the beginning. Growing up, she was influenced by her mother and many amazing musicians including, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and The Doors. “I heard them writing songs and I just wanted to do what they did. I picked up a guitar and started doing it.”
Since the age of 10, *AUDRA* and guitarist/songwriter Pat Walsh have been writing songs and developing music together. The two now write the songs for their band, “Chaser Eight.”
In 2015, the band released their fourth album, and first studio LP, “Chaser Eight”. We asked *AUDRA* about her favorite song, “I love “I Wanna Die”. It is the last track on the album. We play it live, last every time. It gets a great response. It is a great show ender.”
The band has had experience playing some great shows, “We played at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. That was an amazing experience. We just played Radio 104 Fest where we opened up for Panic and the Disco and Atlas Genius. We played in front of 5,000 people. It was amazing.”
In the next few months, the band will be releasing new music. “We have three singles coming out in January, February, and March. We are going to be releasing them the last Friday of every month.”
We asked *AUDRA * what she wants others to know about the band, “We are honest. What you see is what you get. The way we are on stage is the way we are off stage.”
With 3 singles coming out in the beginning of January, and some great shows lined up, 2016 is going to be a great year for Chaser Eight. “It is going to be fun to see where the journey takes us in the New Year.”

I was listening to The Local Band Show on Sunday night and heard a song by CHASER EIGHT called “PLAYING WITH FIRE “. It sounded great. I was kind of surprised when I heard that CHASER EIGHT was from Connecticut. *AUDRA *, the lead vocalist has a great voice, I mean really great voice. She looks great also. I love her hair style. I would like to see CHASER EIGHT go Mainstream. I also have confidence that CHASER EIGHT will be a mainstream band eventually. Like hearing them on 99.1 PLR, CHASER EIGHT, Best of wishes, and you have a true CHASER EIGHT Fan from West Haven. Harland Camley.
