upfrontNY: You are playing Rockwood Music Hall in NYC on March 26th. Can you tell us what you are most looking forward to playing this show?
Brandon Jenner: I’m very much looking forward to playing Rockwood again. I had a great time last time I was there and hope to see some familiar faces in the audience.
upfrontNY: What can your fans expect from your show?
Brandon Jenner: New music! I’ve been playing some of the new songs from my next EP to be released soon and I love seeing how a crowd responds to them.
upfrontNY: What do you enjoy most about NYC?
Brandon Jenner: The sore legs from doing so much walking 🙂
upfrontNY: Do you have a song that you are most looking forward to performing at Rockwood Music Hall?
Brandon Jenner: Death of Me. It’s one of my new favorites. I recently filmed a music video for it and can’t wait for its release.
upfrontNY: You recently released two videos from your “Live in the Yurt” performance. Can you tell us about this experience?
Brandon Jenner: I really enjoy doing things live and in the moment. When you play with someone as talented as Brandon Walters, that makes it very easy. The Yurt is on my property here in Malibu so I definitely felt right at home 😉
upfrontNY: Can you tell us about “Face The World” and what this song mean to you?
Brandon Jenner: It’s a song about stepping into a new you. Finding something inside yourself that inspires you to care less about what other people think and to step a little bit closer to your true self.
upfrontNY: On your website we noticed a special section A Place For Peace where you feature people from around the world sharing their stories and what they believe in. What did it mean to you to share these stories?
Brandon Jenner: It is based off of a music video I did for ‘I Believe.’ I heard so many incredible stories from amazing people from around the world and wanted other people to hear some of the stories. If you get a chance, please check out the video. It is very close to my heart.
upfrontNY: What is your favorite line from “I Believe”?
Brandon Jenner: “Giving all you have will leave you with nothing to lose.”
upfrontNY: How would you describe the feeling knowing that people connect with your music?
Brandon Jenner: It feels like my life has purpose. In other words, the best feeling ever!
upfrontNY: Who are you musical inspirations and if you had the chance to sit down and interview one of them who would it be and what would you like to ask them?
Brandon Jenner: Most of them are long gone but if I had the power to resurrect someone, it would be John Lennon, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke, Jimmy Hendrix and probably Bill Hicks (not a musician).
upfrontNY: What do you want to say to your fans who continue to support you, your music, and come to see you perform?
