What better way to start the new year than with a hot date? The dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel is giving their members a chance to win a date with Doctor Mike and actress/model/author Julia Conley. By entering the contest, members will be donating to charity.

From now until January 27th Coffee Meets Bagel members can enter to win a date by donating a minimum of $10 for 100 entries. Not a member? Sign up for free!

Winners will be chosen randomly and the date will take place in New York City! Winners will receive an all expense paid trip to NYC and get to dine at a Michelin Star restaurant.

upfrontNY: What first went through your mind when approached to be a part of Coffee Meets Bagel “Date for Charity”?
Doctor Mike: Honestly, I thought it was a crazy idea. When I first heard the proposition, the thought of me being auctioned off seemed scary. However the more thought I put into it, along with the great conversations with the CMB team, it because a viable and fun idea for me!

upfrontNY: How does it make you feel to know that people will be supporting  “Limitless Tomorrow” by donating to win a date with you?
Doctor Mike: Clearly with my social media accounts you can tell that I am willing to think outside of the box to bring people together. Using Instagram actually managed to bring patients to come visit the doctor for annual visits when they otherwise wouldn’t. Talk about outside of the box preventative care thinking! My theory is that if you have a genuine and altruistic goal it doesn’t matter what unique way you choose to get there. Also there’s that awesome ideal possibility that I can meet someone via this fundraiser that could turn out to be an ideal match.

upfrontNY:What are you most looking forward to with this dating experience?
Doctor Mike: I like to force myself outside my comfort zone often as it makes you a better person regardless of the outcome. Going on this date I know I’m going to be nervous, I know my date will be nervous, so it’s incredibly exciting to see what comes of the whole date experience. The unknown is always captivating!

upfrontNY: Are you usually this adventurous when it comes to dating?
Doctor Mike: Absolutely. I’m an avid explorer of life, just how my Instagram page has stated since I started it 3 years ago. This charity dating experience will certainly be an adventure that I’m looking to enjoy.

upfrontNY: The winning date will be in New York City. What do you love most about living in NYC?
Doctor Mike: I’ve lived in NYC for 20 years now. My favorite part of NYC that I miss most while traveling has to be availability of anything you desire. From specialty stores to extraordinary food choices it’s all accessible for you and often for all 24 hours of the day. There’s been plenty of times I get home from a long hospital shift at 11pm and randomly decide to go rock climbing indoors. Where else can you get that experience but NYC?

Julia: I was thrilled to collaborate with such a spectacular company. I am a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, so naturally when I heard that three sisters were behind the idea, I jumped onboard!

upfrontNY: How does it make you feel to know that people will be supporting  “Kering Foundation” by donating to win a date with you?
Julia: I feel amazing knowing that the donations will go to an organization that supports my cause

upfrontNY: What are you most looking forward to with this dating experience?
Julia: I look forward to meeting my dream bagel!

upfrontNY: What would be your dream date?
Julia: My dream date would be doing a spontaneous activity that we both enjoyed. For me it’s about making memories!
