Evie Theodorou is a singer, actress, and TikTok personality. We got to chat with her about her upcoming EP, “Nancy Mindy”, who she would like to have be a guest on her TikTok, and some of her favorites!

upfrontNY: How did you get your start in the entertainment world?

Evie Theodorou: I got my start when I was 5 years old. My parents called an agent and set up a meeting and they signed me right away. In my hometown I was so busy booking commercial and print work. I had always begged my parents to move to California so that i could be on the “Big Screen” which is what I called it. I told them I wanted to be on Disney like Hannah Montana. So last year we moved out to LA and i’m here working hard on making my dreams come true.

 

upfrontNY: Can you tell us about “Nancy Mindy”?

Evie Theodorou:  Of course! “Nancy Mindy” is a smart, witty, funny, articulate teen who was raised in foster care. She is an ambitious girl with big dreams to make something of herself despite what hand life has delt her.

 

upfrontNY: What is it like for you to have a lead role in the series?

Evie Theodorou: Extremely blessed. I want to get across to my fans and others about how your background doesn’t define you. How you work hard and keep pushing yourself to become better is what matters most in life.

 

upfrontNY: Can you tell us about your song Somewhere?

Evie Theodorou: This song was a song I co-wrote with my producers to basically show others that taking a risk is ok to do especially when you have a strong passion to become better at something. Following your dreams and not looking back. Your past will always be there but it’s how you create your future is what counts.

 

upfrontNY: You have an upcoming EP. What has been the best part of this process?

Evie Theodorou: Everything! I love singing! This is still in the works right now especially since quarantine has slowed everything down. I have been working hard at home and with my vocal coaches to keep me ready for when things open. It will be amazing!

 

upfrontNY: What has it been like to be so recognized on TikTok with over 3 million likes?

Evie Theodorou: TikTok is a unique platform. I love it and all my fans! I think everyone uses it in different ways. There is comedy, dancing, singing, stories, platforms and all of these are great. I took on tiktok because I really wanted another way for my fans to see the real me. My personality, my joy I have for life and what I love to do. I love being able to talk to them on messages and do lives. What a fun platform!

 

upfrontNY: If you could have anyone guest star with you in one of your TikTok videos, who would it be?

Evie Theodorou: Ohhh Timothée Chalamet. Can we tag him lol. I just think he is so adorable and such an amazing actor. Oh that would be such a cool thing.

 

upfrontNY: You have experience as an actress, singer, and model. Of the three, do you have a favorite?

Evie Theodorou: Not at all. I honestly feel like I just want to give my everything in all that I do. I want fans to look at me and see the artist I am and how much I love what I do. And if I can make a positive impact on them, then that is my purpose.

 

upfrontNY: Now that restrictions of quarantine are starting to lift, where are you most excited to go or most excited to do?

Evie Theodorou: I CANNOT wait to get back into the studio and record! and of course connect with all my friends!!!!!!

 

upfrontNY: What do you enjoy most about Summer time?

Evie Theodorou: Being able to just relax and spend quality time with my family. My family means so much to me. They have always been my support system and I know that no matter what they will be there. I also love spending time at my lakehouse. I love watersports and just being in the sun!
