Frankie Ballard kicked off his tour in NYC at The Bowery Ballroom. On one of the warmest and most beautiful January evenings, country music fans gathered for a great night!
From the moment he took the stage with “Drinky Drink” Frankie had the attention of the crowd. Frankie Ballard has an undeniable presence on stage from his energy to his voice, to his guitar skills.
During his performance, Frankie told the crowd how there was no better place to kick off a tour than New York City and his NYC fans agreed!
Songs from his set list included “Cigarette”, “L.A. Woman”, “You’ll Accomp’ny Me”, “Little Bit of Both” and the song that was inspired by his parents, “It All Started With A Beer” from his latest album El Rio. Other songs included favorites, “Tell Me You Get Lonely”, “Young and Crazy”, and “Helluva Life”.
Frankie surprised his fans while covering Elvis playing “Hound Dog” and “Heartbreak Hotel”.
Throughout his set, he had a lot of interaction with his fans from talking to the crowd, having the crowd join in singing his songs, and even taking phones from the crowd to take selfies.
We could not have asked for a better first concert of 2017 than this one!
