Genneya Walton is an actor, model, and dancer. She stars as Bryden Bandweth in Netflix’s Project Mc². Her character Bryden is one of four girls who are recruited to join the spy organization, NOV8. Tune in to season 2 which will premiere on August 12th.

upfrontNY: How did you get your start in acting?
Genneya Walton: I auditioned as a dancer for the American Girl movie Isabella Dances Into the Spotlight and read a scene which was my first time acting. I booked that and have kept going ever since.
upfrontNY: What do you love most about it?
Genneya Walton: I love having the opportunity to meet new people and doing crazy things.
upfrontNY: Can you tell us about your role as Bryden in Project Mc²?
Genneya Walton: Bryden is an enthusiastic, tech-loving teen that shows her bright personality through her style. Bryden’s character specializes in technology. She is always up to date on the latest trends and the newest devices.
upfrontNY: Do you have any similar personality characteristics like your character?
Genneya Walton: Bryden and I are actually very similar. The only distinct difference is that I don’t wear bright colors on a daily basis. Other than that she is definitely just an exagerrated version of me!
upfrontNY: If you could play any role or be on any other television series, what would it be?
Genneya Walton: I would want to play Zoey on Blackish.
upfrontNY: Aside from acting, you are also a dancer. What is the best part about dancing and do you have a favorite song to dance to?
Genneya Walton: Dancing is such a great outlet for emotion and something fun to do with friends. Anyone can do it! Run the World (Girls) by Beyoncé is my favorite song to dance to.
upfrontNY: What do you love most about modeling?
Genneya Walton: I love the crazy hair and makeup and getting to see the final product of the shoot.
upfrontNY: Do you have a favorite look from any of your photo shoots?
Genneya Walton: You guys will see it soon, but one of my favorite makeup looks was from a recent shoot and it was super colorful and unique using all Smashbox cosmetics.
upfrontNY : Do you have any fun summer plans?
Genneya Walton: I will be going to Vegas for a week with my best friend for a dance convention and then after that, I have plans to watch movies at the beach and hike to some waterfalls!
