The weekend started off right at Starland Ballroom! Kip Moore came to the New Jersey venue as part of his Wild Ones tour presented by Thunder 106.
Chris Cavanaugh kicked off the night. His performance was a great way to get the crowd ready for a night of performances.
CVZ of Thunder 106 took the stage and explained, “Wear Red Friday,” wearing red to remember everyone deployed. This started the first of two USA chants heard from the crowd.
Michael Ray took to the stage with “Another Girl.” Other songs performed included, everyone’s favorite, “Kiss You in the Morning,” “Everything In Between,” and “Real Men Love Jesus.” Michael had the crowd singing along as he covered David Lee Murphy’s “Dust on the Bottle.” Michael instantly had the crowd’s attention and their excitement grew throughout his set.
The stage was set, the light show began, and The Weekend’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” got everyone’s energy level raised while awaiting Kip to rock the stage. Kip’s performance is like no other. From the moment he walked out, he owned the stage. He has a rock star vibe that gets the crowd dancing, and ready to get wild. Glasses were raised and Kip kicked off the night with “Wild Ones.”
Kip’s connection with the crowd lasted all night. Some of the songs performed included, “Crazy One More Time,” “Lipstick,” “Beer Money,” “Backseat,” “I’m to Blame,” “Hey Pretty Girl,” and Somethin’ Bout a Truck.” He switched things up as he covered Jimmy Eat World’s hit, “The Middle” and the classic song “Lean on Me.”
Next up Kip slowed things down as he took out his acoustic guitar and performed “Drive Me Crazy,” and “Dirt Road.”
Of course the crowd went wild when Kip announced that the Northeast is his favorite place to perform.
Kip closed out the night with a song he wrote at 4 a.m. while driving through Montana. Even though he was told he pushed the limits with this song, “That Was Us” he knew this was one song that was not going to go unheard.
“Beer Money”
From the venue, to the fans, to the music by these three talented performers, it was an amazing show!
