Vincent explained that the movie was based on threads of true stories, including the real Rose and Thomas, who had been involved in stealing from several people during these mafia card games.
The movie was filmed in 30 different locations over the course of 20 days during November and December.
Vincent began shooting “The Wannabe” immediately after “Jersey Boys.” In preparation for the movie, Vincent and Patricia spent a lot of time together. The two had great chemistry in this movie as their worlds collided and led down a dark path.
This movie shows an interesting point of view from an outsider wanting to be in with the mafia crowd he idolizes.
