On Location Tours provides tourists and New York natives alike with a fun take on New York City tours. Their movie tour takes you around Central Park where popular movies and television shows have filmed.
Our tour guide Madeline was fun and an aspiring actress herself… so she knows her stuff!
It being an entirely outdoor walking tour, although it runs rain or shine, we were very happy we had a beautiful sunny day! And although we took the English speaking tour there were also other languages available including French and Spanish.
Not only did we see movie filming hotspots, but we learned about the park’s history as well! Along the way we played movie trivia with a chance to win a sweet prize, tootsie pops!
One of our first stops was the Gapstow Bridge where the famous Home Alone 2scene with the pigeon lady was filmed!
If action is more your speed, we then visited The Chess and Checkers House where Independence Day was filmed!
We also stopped at the most romantic spot in Central Park, Bow Bridge, where movies like Autumn in New York, Spider Man 2and Little Manhattan filmed.
We saw many more sites along the way and had many picture-perfect photo opps! This tour is a perfect way to explore central park for any movie lover especially as the weather gets warmer!
