On Location Tours gives you a chance to see New York City with an entertainment twist. The TV and Movie themed tours travel around the different parts of New York City showing several TV and film locations.
On Location Tours has launched a new tour, the When Harry Met Seinfeld Tour.
Our tour guide was Max Brand, an actor and comedian in NYC. He was great and even showed us his impression of Jim Carey!
The tour started across the street from McGee’s pub. This pub was the inspiration for the bar on How I Met Your Mother. We boarded the bus which was warm on a cold day, comfortable, and had a bathroom. There were several television screens throughout the bus. When touring the city, different TV and movie clips were shown on-screen. You got to watch the clips on-screen while seeing the real spot that they had been filmed.
Throughout the tour there were three stops. The first stop was Café Lalo, that was featured in the movie, You’ve got Mail. Next up was Tom’s Restaurant, which was the outside of the diner for Seinfeld, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a spot where many things have been filmed.
New York City has been the backdrop for so many amazing TV shows and films. Central Park is the most filmed location in the world and The Plaza is the most filmed building in the world.
This was our third tour we took with On Location Tours. Each one has been great, the tour guides are funny and knowledgable. This is an exciting way to see the city.
