Rachael Ray was honored at the HealthCorps 10th Annual Gala. HealthCorps® is a leader in the nationwide movement of healthy young people.
The gala took place on Tuesday, May 10th in New York City. It was co-hosted by HealthCorps Chariman, renwed cardiothoracic surgeon, and Emmy award winning host of “The Dr. Oz Show”, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and his wife Lisa Oz. They cofounded HealthCorps over a decade ago to encourage the youth to make simple lifestyle changes that enhance not only their own health, but also the health of their families and friends.
The evening applauded the work of honorees Rachael Ray, Anthem Blue Cross President Pamela Kehaly, YouTube Star Eva Gutowski, Omron Healthcare, Dr. Freda Deskin and Sharpstown High School Principal Robert Gasparello.
Additionally, Oklahoma City’s ASTEC Charter School founder Dr. Freda Deskin and Houston’s Sharpstown High School Principal Robert Gasperello, were awarded the Yvette and Joel Mallah Crystal Heart Apple Community Service Awards for contributions to the health and well-being of American youth.
The evening also featured performances from Ben Vereen, Eturnity Band, and Broadway’s Stepp Stewart.
