The Best Buy Theatre in NYC is a perfect location to get up close and personal with your favorite artist. After attending many concerts at this venue it has become one of my favorites.
This is the second time at this venue that I have seen the one and only, the man himself Chris Young. Chris Young is a very talented man with a voice that hits you hard and gives you chills. It also doesn’t hurt that he is absolutely adorable or as Kelly Ford says “Chris YUM”. From his romantic songs that make the ladies swoon to his beer drinking upbeat songs that make you want to stomp your cowboy boots, jump up and down, sing your heart out, and drink that beer, going to his concert is an absolutel must!
Last night Steven Lee Olsen opened up for Chris by getting the crowd warmed up and ready to get the party started. As he sang “Raised by a Good Time” he was joined by a special guest on stage. Chris walked on to the stage, 2 shots in hand, and as they took the shot, the crowd went crazy. Chris definately knows how to make an entrance!
The hardest part of a concert is waiting with anticipation for those lights to go down, the energy to go up, and the music to start pounding. As the band walked on stage the crowd went wild. Chris Young hits that stage, and the crowd knows what time it is. He knows how to electrify a crowd as they all belt out the lyrics for A.M. This was an absolute perfect song not only for the start of the concert but a Friday night concert. Every person in that room was starting the weekend off right!
“Everybody waitin’ for the weekend
Getting off 5 in the P.M.
Wanna blow off a little steam and
Go cut loose somewhere
Folks start showin’ up at 7
Order up a Crown or a cold one”
The night was an non stop dancing, singing, drinking occasion. The songs of the night included: I Can Take it From There, Gettin’ You Home, Aw Naw, Tomorrow, Who I am With You, Neon, You, Voices, Save Water Drink Beer, and even covered the song Change The World. Then rounding out the night with Who’s Gonna Take Me Home and of course hands went up every time he sang the courus. Who wouldn’t want to take him home?
Chris Young sang his new single, Lonely Eyes. Chris Young does an unbelievable job interacting with the crowd, making you feel as if he is singing to you. Of course all the green eyed girls felt this when he sang Lonely Eyes (myself included).
Chris kept up an amazing spirit and energy the whole night long. You can feel his passion flowing off the stage and into the crowd. If you have not yet seen Chris Young in concert, it is an absolute must. You will not be disapointed and you will find yourself singing those songs for days.
